Precious metals are losing value
Caution dominates markets where investors' risk appetites are lower due to fears of a recession.
Amid hawkish statements by Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari and Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic, 10-year US Treasury bond yields yesterday topped the high they saw on 13 October, when data showing higher-than-expected inflation in the US were released. Expectations that lending interest rates will increase are making precious metals cheaper.
