UK inflation picks up pace
Annualised inflation in the United Kingdom has started moving up faster than expected. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) went from 10.1% in January to 10.4% in February. Most analysts had expected the indicator to fall to 9.8%. This information supports the pound ahead of today's announcement of the Bank of England's interest rate decision.
