The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF is a spot ETF that holds Bitcoin exclusively and issues common shares that are traded on the CBOE. The fund determines the real market value of its stock based on the movement of Bitcoin's price as measured by the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate, an index that reflects the current average Bitcoin price based on quotes from several leading crypto exchanges and trading platforms and displays that average price in US dollars.

The fund uses cold storage technology to keep bitcoins in secure offline environments to safeguard them from potential online threats of hacking and theft.

The fund's management fee is 0.21% of the average annual cost of assets. The fund's management fee is waived until 10 July 2024 or until assets reach $1 billion, whichever occurs first.
