The VanEck Bitcoin Trust is an ETF that holds Bitcoin exclusively and issues common shares that are traded on the CBOE. There are 1,650,000 common shares outstanding. The trust determines the real market value of its stock based on the movement of Bitcoin's price as measured using Bitcoin quotes from several spot Bitcoin exchanges.

The trust's shares are not redeemable for the underlying Bitcoin, which means the trust's price may deviate from the price of Bitcoin. The fund uses cold storage technology to keep bitcoins in secure offline environments to safeguard them from potential online threats of hacking and theft.

The trust's management fee is 0.25% of the average annual cost of assets.
