As we embark on a new year, now is the perfect time to look back on 2024 and recap all the key achievements and special moments of the previous 12 months. Despite the unparalleled geopolitical uncertainty and persistently high interest rates, it's been another bumper year for a variety of markets, most notably cryptocurrencies and equities. And Libertex has been there all the way, sharing our clients' successes with them and rewarding them for their invaluable loyalty.
Beyond achieving high levels of client satisfaction, Libertex has consistently received significant industry recognition, and 2024 was no exception. Its first accolade of the year came in March when it was honoured with the prestigious 'Global CFD Broker of the Year' award by the renowned financial publication PAN Finance. Then, in July, the FXEmpire Awards brought the company a double-header, as Libertex was named both Best Share CFD Trading App and Best CySEC-Regulated Broker. Last but by no means least, the European CEO Awards 2024 saw Libertex honoured with the title of Most Trusted Broker, capping off another varied haul of award categories that really demonstrates strength across the board.
One of the key factors that have always set Libertex apart from the competition is its unwavering commitment to prioritising people. This dedication extends to supporting various charitable initiatives, with the standout effort in 2024 being the refurbishment of the Hope for Children CRC Policy Center's Children's House in Limassol, Cyprus. Libertex has been closely involved with the organisation since 2022. The project saw our staff working together in teams to improve the building's interior and exterior. Volunteers painted walls, installed new carpets and drapes, upgraded lighting and office furniture, and rejuvenated the garden. The aim was to create a welcoming and secure environment for the children who visit daily while also providing a more comfortable and efficient workspace for the social workers at Hope for Children.
Ever committed to the highest ethical standards, Libertex is also a keen champion of the Global Money Week initiative, which seeks to promote financial literacy among younger generations and protect them from potential scams, fraud, and data leaks. GMW has impacted over 60 million individuals across 176 countries since its inception in 2012, and Libertex is proud to support such a worthy cause.
Finally, the company is also proud to remain the Official Online Trading Partner of FC Bayern for a third consecutive year after holding the coveted Platinum Partner status throughout 2024. One of the highlights of our valued partnership this past year was a special viewing event in Nicosia for FC Bayern's UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg against Arsenal, which ended in a draw. Attendees included local sports media representatives, who enjoyed a selection of drinks, casual bites, and football-themed entertainment. Enhancing the experience, the press received an exclusive video greeting from FC Bayern players, delivered just moments before they took to the pitch. Both Libertex and FC Bayern always strive for excellence and never give up, even in the most trying circumstances, as evidenced by the Bavarian superclub's dedication to win the home leg 1-0 and progress to the semis.
