It’s safe to say that 2023 has been quite the whirlwind of a year. We’ve seen runaway inflation, energy shortages and multi-year high interest rates – and yet the equities market has made some of its biggest gains in years. As we take stock of this contradictory year for the markets, we at Libertex would like to recap some of our biggest successes and milestones over the past twelve months and raise a toast to all of our loyal clients existing and new.
Libertex is no stranger to industry awards, and 2023 saw us win more than our fair share of honours once again. Notwithstanding, this year’s haul began with our first award from Germany where the country’s Design Council bestowed upon us a coveted German Brand Award in the "Excellent Brands: Banking & Financial Services" category. Then, just one month later, Libertex was named “Best CFD Broker” at the prestigious World Finance Forex Awards recognizing our tireless efforts in the highly competitive Forex CFD trading space. In late September came the icing on the cake in the form of Ultimate Fintech’s “Best Trading Experience” which was fittingly announced in the closing ceremony of the premiere B2B finance event, iFX Expo.
Lastly, as much as we love being awarded for our trading and investment services, it was a different type of accolade that meant the most to us this year. At the very beginning of the year, Libertex was officially recognized as a Great Place To Work®, with 96% of our employees agreeing that our company is a “Great Place to Work” – one of the highest percentages ever recorded by GPTW®.
Another important aspect of Libertex’s efforts beyond our business offering is our partnership with sports teams and charitable organisations. And when our partners succeed, so do we. That’s why we were delighted to be able to join our multi-year football partner FC Bayern Munich in celebrating the Bavarian super club’s 33rd Championship title and 11th consecutive one since 2013! We were similarly ecstatic to announce the upgrade of our partnership from Gold to Platinum, bringing us extended rights usage.
Of particular note however, is our ongoing work with the “Hope for Children” CRC Policy Center. This year saw us proceed with a significant donation to help HFC renovate its shelters in Nicosia, creating a more inspirational and comfortable environment for the unaccompanied children who live there. Furthermore, we also donated two vehicles to bolster the vehicle fleet of HFC, thereby further supporting the humanitarian organisation's operations and ensuring the uninterrupted provision of services to children.
It has truly been another wonderful year full of achievements for Libertex, and let’s not forget that this has been our parent group’s (Libertex Group) 26th year anniversary, for which of course we were happy to join the celebrations.
