Wells Fargo & Co. is a banking company that provides financial and insurance services in the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico. It is the 4th largest bank in the USA after the Bank of America, Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase.

Located in San Francisco, its major shareholder is Warren Buffet (6.5% of shares). The acquisition of Wachovia at the end of 2008 allowed Wells Fargo to become the largest mortgage lender in the US in 2009. The bank currently has 6,062 offices that serves 23 million clients.
