DAX 30 is one of the major stock indices in Germany. It includes the shares of the 30 largest German companies trading on XETRA electronic exchange. It is the German equivalent to the Dow Jones index and one of the most influential indices in Europe.
It has been published since 1 July 1988 from the base value of 1000 pips.
