Aeroflot is a Russian airline company. The company carries out domestic and international flights from Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport. It is one of the oldest airlines in the world, starting its history from 1923, being a completely state-owned enterprise. After the collapse of the USSR, the company was partly-privatised, a controlling stake (51%) is under state control.
In 2017, revenues from sales amounted to 446.7 billion RUB (7.77 billion dollars), of which about 28.4 billion RUB (0.49 billion dollars) was net profit.
Aeroflot is an international brand, widely known outside of Russia. It is a member of the Sky Alliance aviation alliance.

Aeroflot shares were included in the quotation list on the Moscow stock exchange on 9 August, 2007. On 9 June 2014, they were already included in the First level. Today, Aeroflot shares are traded only in Russia.
