At Libertex, we take your security seriously, which is why we need you to take a moment to check your source of funds.

A 'source of funds check’ is actually just a way of asking you to send us some form of proof, to show that your hard-earned cash comes from a legitimate source - be it from your salary, profits earned from your business, a loan from the bank etc.

We kindly ask you to check which documents you need to upload depending on your source of income, as seen in the list below. Please make sure all document information is visible and clearly legible:

  • Salary: If your deposits are generated from your salary, you’ll need to send us a copy of your payslip from the previous 3 months or a tax receipt.
  • Sale of property: If you’ve sold a property and have used the proceeds to top up your Libertex account, you'll need to send us a copy of the sale agreement for the property, and a bank statement showing the proceeds of the sale being credited to your bank account.
  • Loan: If the source of your deposit is a loan - please upload a loan agreement document and a bank statement showing the received funds along with your current balance.
  • Inheritance: If you have inherited money, please upload the inheritance will and a bank statement showing the received funds along with your current balance.
